Reflection:

In the exercises of this module, I felt they were very insightful experiences as I got to learn sorts of tools in Premiere Pro that I wasn't familiar with and never used before. From these exercises, I learned tools such as the razor tool, the ripple edit tool, and how to color correct, these are all useful skills that could speed up my Premiere Pro editing process in the future, I had fun doing the exercises as well. I really enjoyed all the exercises in project 1 and it was overall really interesting to try out a new Adobe software such as Adobe Audition. I have learned the basic tools in it and can carry my basic skills into future projects and from there, advance the software. This was really the start of editing sound/ music for me and it was a fruitful experience personally. From this experience, I also got to know my love for sound editing as I discover how fun it actually is, I thought it would just be another Adobe software that I have to learn and practice, but that was not the case this time at all. Project 2, it was a whole new learning experience for me because I have never participated in a project where the main task is to film and edit, and that task was the main element for this project 2. During this project, I have tried filming myself, filming my friends, and even being in a filming crew as a sound girl. The experience was new, but the result and the filming outcome are just as satisfying if not more satisfying than other projects ever, because not only did we have to do editing work but also physical work such as filming and other physical tasks. This project also in a way pushed me to be more comfortable working as a group, although I was nervous at first, I made many new friends and grew closer with my friends while we were working on the tasks in this project. Working on the final project taught me the most as I learned, studied, filmed, and edited it, creating the final outcome by myself. It was almost like a self-taught project because we had to choose between either doing stop motion or visual effects ourselves and also choosing what kind of stop motion/ visual effects we want to do as well. In this case, I chose 3 kinds of visual effects, the clone visual effect, the hologram visual effect, and the disintegration visual effect. All 3 visual effects were learned by watching videos online and achieving the final outcome video took many trials and errors, during filming and the editing process. This has taught me to have perseverance and patience when creating work all on my own. I have honestly learned so much more than expected in this final project, and am pretty proud of myself.
